Rob Holland

Robert is a PhD student within the Catchment Science Centre based in the Department of Animal and Plant Sciences. His principle interest is variability within animal communities and the implication of this for monitoring the health of freshwater ecosystems.
Robert studied for his BSc Biology at the University of Portsmouth before completing a MRes in the Science of the Environment at the University of Lancaster. Upon graduating Robert worked at the Aquarium of the Lakes as a member of the displays team before taking up a position as the North West Regional Officer for the British Association for the Advancement of Science where he organised National Science Week and other activities promoting the public understanding of science. For the last two years Robert has worked at the Freshwater Biological Association on an initiative called FreshwaterLife.
