Jacqueline is a Marie Curie Early Stage Training Fellow studying for a PhD within the Catchment Science Centre. Based in the Department of Animal and Plant Science, Jacqueline is part of the CatSci group working on the integrated study of the River Don catchment.

Jacqueline graduated in 2003 from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETHZ) with a degree in biology. After graduating she worked as a teaching assistant at the EAWAG (Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology) where her main role was to organise and teach field and taxonomy courses in freshwater ecology. In 2005 Jacqueline took up a post as a research technician at the University of Sheffield where she worked on a project for the Highways Agency examining the impact of carriageway drainage on receiving systems.

Jacqueline´s principle research interests are how habitat fragmentation along river corridors affects the different colonisation pathways of benthic macroinvertebrates.
