Teaching and Learning
Within the Management School´s undergraduate programme there is a level of local business involvement and entrepreneurship in the curriculum that the CREED supports:
- MGT229 Enterprise and Entrepreneurship, where students learn about enterprise and entrepreneurship through research, case studies and local entrepreneurs
- MGT380 New Venture Creation where students develop business ideas in preparation for start-up through the creation of a business plan and pitch to investors
On the postgraduate programme there are also similar modules, including:
- MGT6850 Experiencing Enterprise where small teams of MBA students act as consultants to local companies.
- MGT696 Creating Entrepreneurial Ventures where students develop a business plan and pitch it to a panel of investors, including venture capitalists, business angels and local banks.
- MGT6900 where MBA students have the opportunity to work on projects and dissertations linked to practical problems faced by companies both large and small.
- Extra-curricula company visits.
Other teaching and learning outreach undertaken by the CREED includes the Graduate Programme of Young Enterprise; the Shell Technology Enterprise Programme; and, Sheffield SIFE Ltd and CREED supports wider University activities in enterprise education including: the Business Plan Competition; the Sheffield Summer School and Enterprise Workshops.
