European Foundation Commissions Work

Prof. Colin Williams of the Centre for Regional Economic and Enterprise Development has just heard he has won a tender from the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions. The work is to review five countries to find best practice initiatives for tackling undeclared work and to provide an overview report on ways of tackling undeclared work. This will provide an evidence-base for the European Commission’s 2nd Communication on Undeclared Work due to be published in late 2007.

Dr. Rob Huggins of CREED commented on Colin’s success “This is great news and means that Colin’s work continues to be at the forefront of both the academic field and policy interventions in the area of undeclared work”.
