Skills that you can learn are:
- 3 minute breathing space
- Short meditation
- Useful information and links
Get a Better Nights' Sleep - Friday 11th May
If you find it difficult to 'switch-off' the night before an exam then why not try this sleep focused workshop?
To get the most out of our sleep, both quantity and quality are important. Below are some facts about why a good night's sleep is so important to our health and well-being.
- When we sleep well, we wake up feeling refreshed and alert for our daily activities. Sleep affects how we look, feel and perform on a daily basis, and can have a major impact on our overall quality of life.
- If sleep is cut short, the body doesn't have time to complete all of the phasis needed for muscle repair, memory consolidation and release of hormones regulating growth and appetite. We then wake up less prepared to concentrate, make decisions or engage fully in work and social activities.
This workshop will look at:
- Sleep meditation
- Advice on sleep preparation before exams
- Useful links to podcasts and websites
How to attend these 2 Exam Stress workshops:
Time: 1.10-2.00pm, registration from 12.55pm
Venue: Gallery 3, The Students' Union
Booking: These are Drop-In Workshops so there is no need to book; simply come along on the day. Please note that places are limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis and you will be expected to stay for the whole session.
