Profile
Nima graduated in October 2005 from Azad University Iran and got his BSc in Civil Engineering with grade of 65%. Meanwhile he was working in different construction projects as Manager of the Operational Engineering Department and Control Engineer of Project Management Department.
He studied MSc (Eng) Earthquake and Civil Engineering Dynamics at the University of Sheffield in 2008/09. He finished his MSc with Distinction. His dissertation topic was Synchronisation Effects among Spectators Bobbing and Jumping and his supervisor was Professor James Brownjohn. The aim of the project was to find out the degree of synchronisation between spectators due to different cues (i.e. audio, visual and tactile). Also, for this project, he had collaboration with University of Birmingham Sensory Motor Neuroscience (SyMoN) group.
Currently he is doing his PhD in the Vibration Engineering Section of the University of Sheffield and he joined VES as a PhD researcher student in December 2009. His research, under the supervision of Dr Paul Reynolds, is Semi-Active Control of Human-Induced Vibration.
