This programme of MSc courses has been developed jointly with external partners from industry and academia who represent all sectors and level of organisation in the fields where our graduates find employment. The significant industry input in these MSc courses is a cornerstone of the high quality, vocationally-focused training provided. We work closely with these organisations and other industrial partners in developing the teaching and training programme across the following areas:

• Strategic development of the curriculum and module content, ensuring it is innovative, always meets the changing needs of industry and provides students with the diverse range of skills required by employers
  
  
• Guest lectures by specialist instructors and external speakers on our renown Geological Society-endorsed CPD short courses and within modules across the courses, covering aspects such as state-of-the art techniques and practical applications, case studies, technology development and software demonstration
  
  
• Development, hosting and joint supervision of collaborative MSc dissertation projects, allowing students to acquire technical knowledge, develop skills and gain valuable experience in a commercial environment
  
  
• Sponsorship of industry bursaries supporting attendance on these courses
