IBL Awards Scheme 2008/09
Aim
The aim of the scheme is to celebrate excellence in inquiry-based learning (IBL) and reward those who have made a difference to the student learning experience through inquiry approaches.
Award winners
CILASS is delighted to announce the winners of the IBL awards 2008/09. Winners received their award at the Talking Teaching Event, Friday 10th July 2009, in Firth Hall by Professor Paul White, PVC Learning and Teaching.
To a team nominated by staff
Leo Care, Howard Evans and Dan Jary, First Year Studio Team, School of Architecture
£2,000 in recognition of their work `Matter- Reality´
To an individual nominated by staff
Dr Daniel Scroop, Department of History
£2,000 in recognition of his contribution to a range of innovations in the History Department and in particular the IBL approach that brings primary source research into the Level 1 student experience.
To an individual nominated by students
Dr Claire McGourlay, School of Law
£2,000 in recognition of her work on Understanding Law 2 and the Innocence Project
Danielle Manson, one of the students who nominated Claire was also at the presentation.
