Material uploaded into the uPlayer system is subject to the same legal constraints as any other material hosted on University systems. These constraints are described in the CiCS Code of Practice on the following web page:
The uploading of material that is intimidating, hostile or offensive is unacceptable.
Copyright
You, or the University of Sheffield, must own the copyright of the recording that you are uploading, or have written permission from the copyright holder to upload the recording. If you are making a request for material to be uploaded by your department's local administrator, please ensure that you have ownership, or permission.
Where material is included in the recording that is the intellectual property, including copyright, of another party, you must have written permission to include the materials.
