Telephone Helpdesk

The CiCS telephone Helpdesk provides assistance to all users of the University's computing facilities, and should be the first point of contact for all your IT enquiries.

Student Face to Face Support

The drop-in service for students is at the Information Desk in the Information Commons It is open during staffed hours, no appointment is necessary. 

Staff Face to Face Support

The drop-in service for staff is at the Computing Centre on Hounsfield Road. It is open during office hours, no appointment is necessary.

Self Service Desk

In addition to help via telephone, email and drop-in, you can now find answers to your problems by querying the helpdesk knowledgebase via the online Self Service Desk

On site visits

Occasionally it may be necessary for CiCS staff to make an on-site visit, and examine a technical problem. This service is for University owned equipment only.
