ArcGIS/ArcMapThere is currently an issue where ArcGIS/ArcMap is failing to launch on University PCs.

Users will either see an error stating 'ArcGIS has stopped working' or no error at all.

We are investigating and in discussions with the software supplier. Further updates to come. 

**UPDATE (15/03/24)** - We are still working on this issue. We have identified that it is not affecting all PC's and it seems to be PC's with specific graphics cards which are getting the error. So users may find they can still use this software on some PCs.

As an alternative, ArcGIS Pro is available on university PC's via the software centre and also available on personal PC's. You can find more information about this at: https://students.sheffield.ac.uk/it-services/software/arcgis
