Connecting a Game Console to the Residential Network
This page details how you can connect your console to the wired network that is available in some University owned accommodation.

Game Consoles with a web browser (includes PS3)
If your game console has a web browser then please follow the instructions found on the link below:
Xbox 360
You must first identify the MAC address of your Xbox 360.
- Go to the System area of the Xbox Dashboard and select Network Settings.
- Select Edit Settings.
- From Additional Settings, select Advanced Settings.
- At the bottom of this screen you'll see a heading called Wired MAC Address.
Once you have your MAC address you can register your computer using the form below:
Nintendo Wii
You must first identify the MAC address of your Nintendo Wii.
- From the Wii Channel menu, select "Wii Settings" (the round button on the bottom-left of the screen with "Wii" on it).
- Select "Internet," then "Console Settings."
- The MAC address of the Wii console is displayed on the first line.
