Enquirer and Applicant Portal

Aims

The aim of the Enquirer and Applicant Portal is to provide an enhanced service to prospective students by offering secure self service functionality to online resources from anywhere in the world to enquirers and applicants, helping them to feel part of the Sheffield community at the earliest stage. The project is likely to be phased, with the initial phase focusing on improving the application process for student visas.

Overview

The envisaged system will allow enquirers to:
• Register as interested in the University of Sheffield
• Be able to maintain their personal information
• View a stored personalised MyProspectus
• Order prospectus, departmental literature, and other literature
• View their interactions with the University,
• Book onto events,
• Access all relevant information about the University applicable at all stages to registration
• View relevant updates, bulletins and news items applicable at all stages to registration (reading lists etc.)
• Start to build self interest communities

The system will be intuitive and easy to use for home and overseas students and TUOS staff.
