Printing to University Printers from Your Own Mac or Macbook
These instructions work if you are printing from your own Mac on campus or in University accomodation. If you are printing from your own home or from private accommodation see the final section below.
To print to university printers you first need to install the iPrint client software. You can install iPrint using the appropriate link below.
When you have installed iPrint you should shut down all browser windows, including this one. Then restart your web browser and return to this page.
Installing a University Printer
When you have installed iPrint and then shut down and restarted your web browser, you can install a student printer using the links below.
- 4100 (double sided, A4, monochrome) printer
- 8150 (double sided A4 & A3 monochrome) printer
- Colour (double sided A4 and A3) printer
Some web browsers will ask you to confirm that you wish to use the iPrint ActiveX control. Click OK in the dialog box, then CMD-click the browser's warning bar and indicate that you wish to install the ActiveX control.
Printing
Once the installation is complete you will be able to print to the student printing service whenever you are connected to Eduroam.
Printing from Home or From Private Accommodation
Before you can print to student printers from your home, you will first need to set up a VPN connection. This is needed to set up home printing and will also be needed whenever you print. To set up a VPN connection use the instructions available via the link below.
