Visual Identity
Print and Design Solutions will ensure that all artwork and publications conform to the University's visual identity.
The University of Sheffield's visual identity includes four main elements:
The Logo
The logo is a modification of the coat of arms with 'The University of Sheffield' written in four lines alongside; both integrated within a white branding box. The elements of the logo always sit together and appear at the top left hand side of signage and printed literature.
Fonts
The University's fonts are Stephenson and Blake, both of which are modified versions of a typeface produced by Sheffield type foundry Stephenson and Blake Co. The fonts should only be used on University material.
Photography and Imagery
A key element of the visual identity is photography and this is produced continually by a number of professional photographers. The design team have access to the University’s image bank and can assist you in choosing photographs and commissioning a photographer.
Colour Palette
The corporate colour palette consists of twelve uniquely chosen colours, some of which derive from the coat of arms, with additional complementary colours to enhance the University's values.
