5th November - New PDF Reader for Managed Desktop
| Foxit PDF Reader will be installed on all Open Access, IC and Lecture Theatre machines and will become the default PDF reader. 26th October - The Edge IT Centre

21st October - Windows 7

| The Portobello room C28 was refurbished over the summer in conjunction with the refurbishment of the adjoining John Carr centre. The room now has a capacity of 40 machines and is equipped with new Omnino3 PCs. | Portobello Building |

16th October - Mappin ME04
| During the upgrade of equipment, the layout of ME04 in St George's IT Centre was re-designed so it now has a capacity of 70PCs. This work was carried out in response to a request from academic staff for CiCS to have a 70 seat teaching space, in addition to Perak A04. | St George's IT Centre |
