Policy for Handling Messages
The myAnnounce service is for announcements from members of the University relating to University business. The service is not for:
- Commercial advertising
- Personal ads, including most messages for charities
- Student societies and their events
- Messages on behalf of students, except with staff endorsement
Reminders and corrections to messages will not be broadcast.
Do not leave submitting your announcement until the last minute as it may not be sent out.
The Moderator has authority in all decisions over the acceptance of messages, their selected audience and appropriate style and content. The Moderator may modify audience selection, publish messages as announcements rather than email or simplify titles. Except for minor changes, the Moderator will attempt to discuss with the sender before making changes.
Any complaints should be addressed to the MUSE moderator and will be escalated to the Director of CiCS if not easily resolved.
