Supported Web Browsers

In practice, MUSE appears to work with all web browsers, apart from the AOL version of Internet Explorer. However, if you have been experiencing difficulties, use one of the browsers from the following list of the formally supported, and rigorously tested, web browsers.

Windows

• Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 and 6.0 SP1, 7.0
• Netscape 7.2
• Mozilla 1.6 and 1.7
• Firefox 1.x, 3
• Google Chrome

Macintosh

• OS 9
• Internet Explorer 5.1.7, 7
• Netscape 7.02
• OS X v10.3
• Netscape 7.1
• Mozilla 1.6 and 1.7
• Firefox 1.x, 3
• Safari 1.2 or 1.3

If people are experiencing problems using other web browsers not on the list, then we recommend that they change to one of the above. This is a Luminis issue and not one imposed by CiCS. It is expected that future releases of the portal will expand the list of supported web browsers.
