No log in boxes
If you do not see any boxes to input your username and password then this is because you do not have javascript enabled.
Applicants
If you are an applicant to the University of Sheffield and are trying to access your CAS/Visa application or the Enquirer and Applicant Portal but have forgotten or haven't received your username and password, then you can request a replacement using the link below.
Request applicant's username and password
- You will need either your applicant number or the email address that you have registered with us.
- Your new password will be sent to the email address that your account was registered with.
"Login failed. Please try again."
If you have entered your University username and network password and get an error of "Login failed. Please try again."
Then you should:
- Re-enter your University username and network password.
- If it fails again you need to "synchronise passwords", this will re-set your network password. This can be done through the synchronise passwords link below. Please note that this takes a few minutes to take effect, so be patient, and don't try to login again for 5 minutes.
Web Browsers
If you still cannot log in the problem may be with your web browser. Most online services work well with the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari. However, some online service work better with specific browsers. If you have problems logging in try a different web browser.
Finally
If you still can't login successfully please check the following:
- You have the correct web address
- Do not alter the Show Advanced Options box
- Make sure cookies are enabled within the browser
- If you are still unable to login please contact the Helpdesk. See the Help and Support link on the left.
