How to delete a program (Windows XP)

Deleting a program is very simple.

Step One – Opening the Add or Remove Programs facility

  1. Click on the Start button.
  2. Then select the Control Panel.
  3. Click on Add or Remove Programs.

Step Two – Choosing the program you wish to remove

  1. Wait until a list of currently installed programs appears.
  2. Scroll down until you find the one you wish to remove.
  3. Click on it once and you will be given options to Change or Remove it.

Step Three – Removing the program

  1. Click the Remove button, or the Change/Remove button.
  2. This will either remove the program, or open the program’s own uninstall wizard. Either way, just follow the instructions that appear on the screen.
