Managing passwords
About your password
Initially, your network password is an assortment of letters and numbers. This makes it very secure, but very hard to remember. You can change your password using the Computer User Account Management page.
You will also be issued with a separate Remote Access Password. You will not be able to change this, but you can request a new one from the Computer User Account Management page.
You must never disclose your password to anyone else.
Changing your password
Choose a password that you will find easy to remember, but that others will find difficult to guess. You will be required to follow the rules laid out by CiCS. To change your password go to the Computer User Account Management page
Synchronising your password
If you find you are unable to log in to a computing system which you haven't used before, you should synchronise your password. You can synchronise your passwords using the Computer User Account Management page.
What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password you will need to have it reset. You will need to do this in person by coming to the Computing Centre. Please bring your Ucard as identification.
