Biography

My undergraduate degree was in French and Philosophy at Leeds University. After a stint teaching English at the Université de Bourgogne in Dijon, France I moved to London to work in the Civil Service.

I worked my way up from the Home Office (Drugs Strategy Directorate) to the Department of the Environment (Waste Policy) before giving it all up to study for an MSc in Computer Science at University College London. This led to a job as a Web Developer at Time Out.

I moved back to Sheffield and joined the University in 2007.
