Responsibilities

Manage and prioritise the team’s workload in accordance with the deadlines of both clients and Print & Design Solutions
Take design briefs, project manage, and present concepts to internal clients
Produce graphic design and finished artwork for a wide range of brochures, displays, advertising and other media
Liaise with both internal and external print specialists
Maintain the Print Service Web site
Implement and manage corporate visual identity standards
Manage a poster and exhibition service
Procurement of all equipment in the graphic design/exhibition section
Carry out recruitment selection
My administrative duties include placing orders, report writing, SRDS reviews, display screen assessments and risk assessments

Biography

I left school in 1983 to attend Granville College in Sheffield where I attained `A´ level Art and a B/TEC National Diploma in Graphic Design and later `A´ level Photography.

After leaving college I worked for nine years as a graphic designer for various design agencies in Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield and three years for two national charities. I started work in the University Print Service in 1996 as a graphic designer and in 1999 I was given the position of Graphic Design Manger.
