Responsibilities

• Management of Switchboard Services
• Ensure staff are adequately trained
• Maintain close liaison with departments in regard to new staff,structures and events
• Oversee the maintenance of information on console databases, in a form that can be quickly retrieved
• Provision of an information service to both external and internal customers
• Provide a helpful service in connecting external callers to the appropriate extensions

Biography

I have worked at the University for 34 years, starting as a telephonist in October 1973. In 1988 I was awarded the job of Supervisor and that is the position I still hold.
