Biography
I graduated in 1977 with a BA (Hons) in Communication Studies from Sheffield City Polytechnic, now known as Hallam University. Subsequently I worked in the travel industry, and later set up a small business offering Computer Services to a range of businesses including the University.
I was asked to join the University to help set up the Programme Structures module of OES, now known as CIS. Since then I have worked on CIS development and took over responsibility for the maintenance and development of timetabling software. With the introduction of Small Project Management Techniques I became involved in Project Management, and have managed a number of projects including WebCT Vista. This has lead to my joining the newly formed Project and Programme Unit, and we hope to create a Centre of Excellence for Project work at the University.
