Biography

My career started in 1989 at BAe (Military Aircraft) based at Brough, East Yorkshire as a Programmer in the Technical Department,after completing a HND at Leeds Polytechnic. The role evolved into developing MIS-based systems, before I switched perform systems installations, support for CAD/CAM systems. In September 1996 I began a part-time BSc(Hons) in Software Engineering, which led to a successful application as a Software Test Engineer in the Avionics Department. An opportunity for a new role close to home took me to Northern Foods in 1999 working as a SAP Programmer. I quickly progressed to Software Specialist and have worked on/led most of their major software development and data migration projects until May 2007. Since the late 1990's I have been a full member of the British Computer Society, and later awarded CEng status after successfully completing my BSc(Hons) and passing the BCS professional interview. My main hobbies are playing the guitar, trying to keep fit and cycling.
