Responsibilities

• Manager of the University Print Service
  
• Oversee all the operational requirements of the service
  
• Organise the business plan and finances
  
• Manage a compliment of 20 staff who produce in excess of £1.2 million turnover
  
• Liase with other departments and managers on print purchasing, environmental issues, purchasing policies and general input into the running of the University

Biography

After leaving school in 1970 I completed a five year apprenticeship in Lithographic Plate making and Printing gaining City & Guilds Certificates in 1973/75.

I have worked for large print companies operating multi unit B2 & B1presses producing magazines, cartons, postage stamps, books and fine art prints. During the last 15 years I have held positions as works Manager and Production Manager looking after clients such as Somerfield Supermarkets, BBC & NatWest Bank. I have been a regional board member of the BPIF. I joined the University in January 2009.
