Responsibilities
- Helpdesk analyst providing IT support and advice to all members of the University
- Face to face support through the drop-in service
- Provide support for software, hardware and systems problems on PCs and Macintosh computers; install and update operating systems, fix and clear problems caused by viruses; provide advice on keeping equipment safe and virus free; configure network services software and other application software
- Specific responsibility for running the Drop-in Service
- Specific responsibility for connecting computers to the wireless network on campus and in the residences
- Diagnose and rectify virus and spyware infections on computers
