Biography
I began my career at the University of Sheffield in 1988 working in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Admissions Offices dealing with requests and applications from prospective students.
From 1992 to 1998 I worked in the Division of Adult Continuing Education (Institute for Life Long Learning) as Part-Time Tutor Liaison Officer followed by Data Secretary developing and maintaining the Division´s internal databases. During this period I began part time study for a BSc in Computer Studies and was awarded a 1st class degree in Summer 2002.
In September 1998 I became a member of CICS, IT Support Team detailing with helpdesk computer enquiries. Then in 2002 I joined the Internet Technologies Team working on the Content Management System and developing Java applications for the web. I am now a member of the Development Team, mainly working on features for the Portal.
As well as working for CICS I keep fit and swim at the gym, manage to socialise with friends, besides being a full time mum!
