Responsibilities
- Helpdesk analyst providing IT support and advice to all members of the University
- Face to face support through the drop-in service
- Provide support for software, hardware and systems problems on PCs and Macintosh computers; install and update operating systems, fix and clear problems caused by viruses; provide advice on keeping equipment safe and virus free; configure network services software and other application software
- Take responsibility for replying to emails to the Helpdesk and providing expert advice in this area for the rest of the team
- Take responsibility for upgrades to computers running the managed service and liaising with IT support staff in academic departments and providing expert advice in this area for the rest of the team
