Responsibilities

• all new software development that comes through CiCS
• supporting all in-house developed applications such as those delivered through CIS and Java
• integrating and supporting package solutions such as SAP
• providing development resource for University projects
• planning resource to support both project work and maintenance of current systems
• helping organise the next UCISA CISG Conference

Biography

I've been at the University for 25 years starting off as a temporary programmer in the Data Processing Unit, as it was called then, working on student information systems.

I gradually progressed onto Project Leader for all student, MI and Research systems and in July 97 I became CIS Development Team Leader. I have now taken over all CiCS development work and have a new title Development Team Leader managing 22 Java/Oracle/SAP developers.I am also an active member of the UCISA CISG Committee, UCAS Strategy Group and MIAP Stakeholders Group.
