Responsibilities
- Helpdesk analyst providing IT support and advice to all staff and students of the University by phone, by email, remotely and in person
- Provide help and advice for users accessing the University’s network and systems via mobile devices
- Writing documentation and web pages to help users to find answers themselves to their problems by using Self Service
Biography
I started with CiCS in the summer of 2009 as a part-time helpdesk analyst and have now progressed to a full-time position.
I studied for a business degree in the late `80s and worked in marketing and the music business for a number of years. I moved into IT in the early `90s and worked for a variety of design and web development companies in London during the original `dot.com´ boom.
I moved to Sheffield in the mid-noughties and worked for the Research Office, studied as a TiLL student and spent 18 months working for Apple at their Meadowhall Store.
