Responsibilities
- Helpdesk analyst providing IT support and advice to all members of the University
- Face to face support through the drop-in service
- Provide support for software, hardware and systems problems on PCs and Macintosh computers; install and update operating systems; fix and clear problems caused by viruses; provide advice on keeping equipment safe and virus free; configure network services software and other application software
- Take responsibility for Macintosh computers and provide advice in this area for the rest of the team
- Take responsibility for Personal Digital Assistants and provide advice in this area for the rest of the team
- Take responsibility the redistribution of surplus CiCS equipment to academic departments
- Provide assistance with the support of administrative staff
