Responsibilities

• Grid Software (and other clustering technologies) used by the University's SRIF-2 funded Linux high performance computing cluster
• Supporting the Sun Grid Engine implementation
• Continuing the development of the Sheffield Node and the White Rose Grid.

Biography

I first came to Sheffield in 2004, when I joined the Department of Physics and Astronomy as a PhD student researching Dark Energy models of Cosmology. I joined CiCS upon completion of my PhD in November 2007 as a member of the Unix team. My main interests include walking and real ale, which makes Sheffield a rather good place to live.
