Recycling and Waste Disposal

Reducing our waste and recycling, is a great way to reduce landfill, combat climate change and conserve limited resources. A combination of University recycling schemes and sending our general waste for further separation mean that over 82% of the university’s waste was recycled or recovered 2009/10.

We now also send our general waste to a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), over 81% of University general waste is separated for reuse, recycling or recovery.

We aim to save energy by rationalising the number of print devices in use at the University and reduce waste by managing print more effectively.
