Green Chemistry
Technologies and processes are being developed to facilitate the production of chemicals that are environmentally benign and more sustainable. This can be through the use of more benign solvent systems, novel reactor designs for process intensification or through the design of new catalysts.

Reactions and processes are developed to encompass many of the "12 Green Principles" as is practical in order to achieve the production of a particular target chemical or material. Importantly, one of these principles promotes the use of catalysts as an alternative to stoichiometric reagents.
In this section you will find links to specific areas that we define as being encompassed by Green Chemistry.
