Email: ssophonthammaphat1@sheffield.ac.uk BiographyI graduated in Environmental Science (BSc) from Silpakorn University in Thailand in 1996 and completed a bachelor degree in Law at Thammasat University in 2003 and an MSc in Environmental Management at the National Institute of Development Administration in 2006 where I attained the highest grade point averages in this field. After working as environmentalist of Air Quality and Noise Management Bureau at the Pollution Control Department in Thailand for 10 years I changed to the Bureau of Biofuel Development at the Department of Alternative Energy and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy, where I worked for approximately 2.5 years. I believe that E-Futures provides great possibilities for exploring renewable energy technologies. Besides her research activities, she also loves cooking Thai food, enjoys spending time at the seaside and hiking in the mountains. Research interestsFeasibility study of invative technologies using algae for utilization of CO2 At present the UK company are increasingly to reduce their energy consumption. In addition, decreasing CO2 which one cause of the green house gas effect remains to restrict for utilization. The Velolia Environmental Service is the one company which has a willingness to keen an emission. At last year (2011), the Velolia exhausted CO2 emission around 15 million metric tons carbon equivalent. Therefore to potential changing waste to energy, the project will study the possibility to capture CO2 and storage for algae to product biofuel.
