You're the Best

Dr. Martin Pitt is the proud recipient of the first departmental 'Best Teacher' Award.

Our graduates of 2006/06 unanimously nominated Martin for the reward, which came in the form of a plaque to be displayed in the Department. Martin is largely responsible for the BEng 3rd Year Design Project and he also teaches 2nd Year laboratories. In addition to this, he teaches Chemical Engineering Science in the 1st Year, Chemical Reaction and Process Engineering in the 2nd Year, as well as Process Safety in the 3rd Year. Students appreciate his very dry sense of humour and his sniffer dog approach to plagiarism.

'Best Teacher' will be an annual event and it will be interesting to see whether Martin can beat off the competition next year.
