Sheffield students win big!

PhD students from Chemical & Process Engineering have been awarded prestigious prizes at the recent Particle Systems Analysis 2008 conference organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry Particle Characterisation Subject Group.

PSA Winners

Heledd Charles-Williams, supervised by Prof. Agba Salman, won the prize of Best PhD Student Presentation for her presentation entitled “Drop Penetration - Making Valid Predictions”.

Selassie Dorvlo, also supervised by Prof. Salman, won the prize for Best Poster for his poster entitled “Measuring liquid penetration into single granules”.

Prof Salman is very proud of their achievements and said, “These awards are a testament to high standards that our students set themselves and I am not surprised that Heledd and Selassie have been rewarded in this way. Congratulations to them both”.
