Professor Styring invited to be guest on BBC Radio 4 show

Professor Peter Styring, EPSRC Media Fellow, will be talking with Quentin Cooper on BBC Radio 4's "The Material World" programme at 4.30pm on Thursday 18th December 2008.

This week the "Material World", a weekly show hosted by Quentin Cooper, aims to discover how sensible mathematical and scientific estimates can have value in the every day world.

This week Professor Styring will be discussing Delia Smith's carbon footprint.

Delia is well known for her criticism of "food-miles", a possibly radical admittance at a time when consumers are being encouraged to avoid supermarkets and buy local produce in an attempt to reduce their own carbon footprint. In this interview, Professor Styring will shed some light on Delia's own carbon footprint.
