Students Success in nPower Challenge

Four of Professor Peter Styring's Design Project Students, Martin Watson, Aryama Mokoonlall, Samy Yassin and Menan Balashanmugam, presented at the Ferrybridge heat of the 2011 nPower Challenge on 10 March 2011.

Competing against teams including Imperial College, Leeds and Birmingham Universities they put in an impressive and impassioned performance to win the event and go forward to the European Final.

They have now been assigned a mentor from nPower, part of the RWE Energy Group, and will begin work on an extended and highly polished presentation. On 15 March they will compete against other teams from the UK, Germany and the Netherlands in the Final which will be held at the Royal Institution in London.
