New MSc Course in Biological and Bioprocess Engineering

The Department of Chemical and Process Engineering at the University of Sheffield are proud to announce the launch of a new postgraduate MSc course that will provide students with the skills to succeed in the Bioprocessing and Biopharmaceutical industries.
Suitable for students with a first degree in either a bioscience or engineering subject, the MSc in Biological and Bioprocess Engineering will provide students with the engineering tools required to produce future biopharmaceuticals, cell therapies, tissue engineering and gene therapeutics.
Prof David James, Director of the new course said "Graduates with skills in biological and bioprocess engineering are in great demand with the Bioprocessing and Biopharmaceutical industries. Unfortunately, Universities don't produce enough suitably qualified graduates. At Sheffield we have developed this course to meet these needs of industry and provide a stream of highly qualified students each year. I look forward to welcoming the first students to Sheffield and helping them to develop into successful Biological and Bioprocess Engineers!"
