Dr. Catherine Biggs of the Biological and Environmental Systems Group (BESG)took two of her research students to the American Society for Microbiology 106th General Meeting in Orlando, Florida.

Student Jagroop Pandhal presented two posters on his research on post-genomic analysis of environmental systems and also won a student travel grant which helped him to attend the conference.

Kevin Eboigbodin, who presented his work on cell to cell communication, was also invited to write an ASM press release on this research. Dr. Biggs and Kevin have since been interviewed for the MicrobeWorld Radio. This is a daily 90-second podcast inititated by the American Society for Microbiology to increase public understanding of the science of microbiology.
