Department Name Change
The exciting news of the moment is that the Department has changed its name to The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. This better reflects our perception that the future of Chemical Engineering, both academically and industrially, involves engagement with both chemical and life sciences. Our core Chemical Engineering approach will remain but focussed upon a broader range of opportunities.

If done all at once, changing an organisation’s name can be an expensive exercise. We have decided to go about it more organically and so there will be a short transition period where we will still sometimes refer to ourselves by the old name. Please bear with us.
