Advice and information

If you wish to discuss your ideas or concerns with an adviser you can book a 15 minute appointment (call in or phone - 0114 222 0910) on weekdays in term-time and vacations. Our information staff will help you to find the information you need and can deal with more complex information enquiries.

Information Resources

We hold a large amount of reference material at the Careers Service, 388 Glossop Road, including journals and brochures covering career planning, occupations, employers, further study and all aspects of the recruitment and selection process. A suite of PCs is available for students providing internet access and a range of software.

Prospects

The Prospects website offers information and advice for international students studying in the UK. It includes case studies and sections on:

  • planning your future
  • working in the UK and outside the UK
  • further study
  • contacts and resources
