Advertising online using myVacancies
myVacancies is our free online vacancy service, managed by Graduate Prospects, which you can use to promote your opportunities to students and graduates of the University of Sheffield.
Once registered, you can use your account to:
- promote graduate jobs appropriate for finalists as well as immediate vacancies aimed at recent graduates
- promote part-time/casual vacancies, vacation work or voluntary opportunities suitable for current students
- advertise insight courses and open days
- have greater control over the content of your entries
- monitor viewings of your advertisements
- include a hotlink to your website in your entries
- distribute your entries to other universities who use the ProspectsNet system (charges apply)

The Student Jobshop
In conjunction with myVacancies, the Student Jobshop provides a shop window for additional promotion of your part-time, vacation and work experience opportunities to thousands of motivated, talented and hardworking students. Staffed by the Careers Service, the Jobshop is located in the Students' Union on the main University campus.

Additional methods of advertising
Plasma Screen Advertising: A screen dedicated to promoting recruitment activities is located in a prominent position in the Students’ Union building. With a daily footfall in the building of up to 10,000 people, using this screen to advertise your vacancies, recruitment events and student competitions will give your opportunities a wide exposure. The cost of featuring on this screen is £25 + VAT per week.

Advertising in publications
Careers Service Guide
Reach 5,000 Sheffield students by advertising in our flagship publication, produced in partnership with GTI. It is available in print and displayed digitally on the Careers Service website. The Forge Press
Produced by the Students' Union, this student newspaper is issued fortnightly during semester time and has a readership of 15,000 on campus, in halls and at various locations in the city.
