Biography:

I completed my general medical training at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. In 2007, I commenced a Clinical Research Fellow post (funded by the British Heart Foundation) at the University of Edinburgh. I worked with Professor Brian Walker, Professor David Newby and Dr. Patrick Hadoke and completed my PhD by investigating role of intracellular glucocorticoid regulation in cardiovascular remodelling.

I joined University of Sheffield in 2010 to work as a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Cardiovascular Science and as an honorary Specialist Registrar in Cardiology at the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. My subspecialty interest is Interventional Cardiology.

Research Interests:

I am keen to translate research findings from experimental lab to clinical practice with the aim to eventually improve patient care and outcomes. My current projects include:

Teaching Interests:

Professional Activities:

I am a member of British Cardiovascular Society, British Society of Cardiovascular Research, European Society of Cardiology and European Association of Percutaneous Coronary Interventions. I also represent local cardiology trainees at the British Junior Cardiologists Association. I am also an associate editor of EuroIntervention.
