Platelet Group

Our group conducts preclinical and clinical thrombosis research focussed on the area of platelet biology and pharmacology. We have a particular interest in translational research related to P2Y12 receptor biology and pharmacology and have demonstrated a role of the platelet P2Y12 receptor in the vessel wall response to vascular injury. We conduct a range of clinical research studies investigating platelet function and the role of novel antiplatelet agents in the management of cardiovascular diseases, including stable coronary artery disease and acute coronary syndromes.
