Careers in Biomedical Science
In the last three years 70% of our undergraduates have gained a first or upper second class degree. Many of our graduates find employment in the biomedical research, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries.
Others choose further study in related areas such as medicine, veterinary science, dietetics, physiotherapy, and teaching. An understanding of contemporary biology combined with your wider graduate skills will give you a wide choice of potential career options such as bioethics, law, journalism, politics and economics.

Our past students have successfully entered a range of careers including the Scientific Civil Service, the Health Service, patenting, medical sales, the software sector, management and administration. Some have even set-up their own businesses.

Graduate Case Studies
The Careers service has recently introduced a database of case studies from graduates providing a realistic insight into the world of work. In addition, graduates provide advice and comments about their experience since leaving university. This site was recently launched, and we therefore only have a few case studies at the moment. However, please check back on a regular basis as we expect the site to grow over the next few months.
