Research
In the recent Research Assessment Exercise, all members of staff were recognized as producing international quality research and 65% of all work submitted was assessed as 'world-leading' (4*) or 'internationally excellent' (3*). The Department is ranked third in the country on the basis of its 4* and 3* publications.
Research Active Across the Board
The 'A' indicates that the proportion of staff returned as 'research active' was 100%. This shows that our excellence in research is consistent across the whole Department.
Research Seminar Programme
The Department hosts a prominent research seminar programme with research papers given by visiting speakers, Sheffield members of staff, and our own research students. This is a chance to hear the latest research from some of the leading biblical scholars in the world.
